Products: Adding products

You can add as many products as you like, have different prices, tax values, stock notices and even custom made barcodes. Follow these steps to learn how to add a product.

Step 1:

Open products module and click on "ADD" button to add a new product.

Step 2:

Start from the top, create a name, choose a category and a tax value. Price fields are automatic, they calculate value with or without tax based on your tax configuration. DEFAULT PRICE WITH TAX is the price you’ll be selling your products for.

Step 3:

Don't forget to add a supplier; "N/A" is already in the system and means "not available" you can add other suppliers. Check "ACTIVE/VISIBLE" option, this option will make current product visible on Point of Sale screen for your workers to sell it. If one day you want to make a product unavailable simply uncheck that option.

Step 4:

You can add a barcode to your product by: selecting barcode field and scanning an existent barcode of a product or by simply leaving it blank and selecting the "GENERATE BARCODE" option. It'll create a unique barcode for your product.

Step 5:

Click on green "ACCEPT" button. It'll return you to products list screen where you can see all your products.


IMPORTANT!
You can never have multiple items with exactly the same name!!!
You can NOT delete an item from the list, consider using edit option.
